In Belarus, abortion is legal on request for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Up to 22 weeks, an individual may request an abortion if they meet any of the following criteria: Imprisonment of pregnant woman or husband, severe disability in husband, additional child with a disability since childhood, death of husband during pregnancy, divorce during pregnancy, court decision to remove parental rights, pregnancy as a result of rape, family has more than three children, unemployment of pregnant woman or husband, or refugee status. There is no gestational limit for risk to the pregnant woman's life.
